About the College
ESAS Paris — Paris College of Aeronautics and Space teaches civil aviation systems, scientific spacecraft applications, space data and Earth observation. Mathematics, physics, computing and engineering methods connect modelling, simulation and scientific data analysis.
An integrated scientific approach
Aerospace connects scientific questions, engineering systems and data methods. Aviation systems require an understanding of components and operating conditions; scientific satellites coordinate orbital, power, communication and observation requirements. Spatial data becomes useful scientific information through processing, validation and interpretation.
Our teaching focuses on civilian and scientific applications: aviation-system simulation, scientific spacecraft analysis, geographic information and remote sensing. Students examine both system structures and constraints and data errors, scale and interpretation, developing a complete approach from mission requirements to technical evaluation.
Education and learning
Three-year bachelor programmes establish mathematics, physics, programming and system foundations. Guided mission design, model exercises and public scientific datasets develop practical tools.
Two-year master programmes deepen architecture, model validation, multi-source data processing and research design. Students compare technical options, evaluate constraints and uncertainty and complete scientific or civilian application projects.
Teaching combines theory, computational laboratories, system simulation, remote-sensing workshops and project reviews. Activities requiring specialist equipment or field practice are specified separately in programme arrangements.

Research and interdisciplinary practice
Research interests include civilian system modelling, scientific spacecraft simulation, spatial data fusion, Earth observation and environmental remote sensing. Projects may examine scientific satellite missions, land-cover change, urban and transport observation, snow, ice and polar environments. Collaboration with climate and environmental disciplines connects observation methods with environmental interpretation.
